Fundraising Taskforce Formed to Advance Kelley's Landing
As part of the effort to leverage both public and private investment in the future of Kelley’s Landing, a new taskforce has been formed to help guide fundraising, strengthen partnerships, and support the next phase of development at the site.
The group brings together leaders from across business, nonprofit, civic, and community spaces who care about the future of Kelley’s Landing and the opportunity it represents for the Kentucky River. Members include Christy Hiler of Cornett, Gerry James of Explore Kentucky, David Lowe of Yes for Parks, Jimbo Graves of Alto Holdings, Laura Hatfield of LFUCG Parks & Recreation, Burgess Carey of Carey Group, Maegan Nicholson of Kentucky Horse Park Foundation, and Emilie Sierp of Proud Mary BBQ.
The taskforce will help identify funding opportunities, engage potential donors and sponsors, and build the relationships needed to move the Kelley’s Landing Master Plan forward. Future phases of the site include expanded trails, gathering spaces, river overlooks, fishing access, picnic areas, and other amenities that will continue to strengthen Kelley’s Landing as a public space along the Kentucky River.
This marks an important step in building the support needed to carry the vision for Kelley’s Landing forward.
